I came across these during a recent subbing adventure for a middle school orchestra/guitar teacher: http://www.dontfret.net/
In case it is difficult to see, the lines that look like your traditional violin tapes are actually printed on a large piece of clear “tape” that covers the entire fingerboard. This prevents the obvious issues that normal string tapes present: slipping tapes, tapes that stick up and make the strings buzz, etc. While I don’t necessarily advocate the use of tapes for all string students, this item could save a lot of time and effort on the part of the teacher, and help students needing tapes to avoid some frustration. Hope this helps someone!
